Elon Musk actually follows through on Grok AI adaptation of 'The Odyssey'

Elon Musk has completed what seemed like a joke: his xAI startup has adapted Homer's "The Odyssey" into a fully functional Grok AI system that can narrate, analyze, and interact with users based on the classical epic. The move represents a striking shift in how tech companies are licensing and reimagining cultural works—blurring the line between genuine innovation and elaborate publicity stunt. As major studios and publishers grapple with AI's use of copyrighted material, Musk's gambit suggests a willingness to push legal and ethical boundaries that could reshape how artificial intelligence companies treat the literary canon.
